Error 10004 - The specified session ticket is invalid

When requesting a report via web services, you may encounter the following error - The specified session ticket is invalid. Please verify you are issuing this request against the correct instance of Projector. (10004)

This error is thrown when Projector tries to authenticate you, but the server you are accessing has no record of your existence. The trick to fixing this issue is to ensure your credentials are correct and that the server you are requesting the information from is correct.

Correct Server?

This is the most likely culprit. If you cut and pasted an example URL from our help documentation, the default server it accesses is probably not yours. To fix it, all you need to do is log into Projector Web. Once you log in, take a look at the URL in your browser. In the screenshot below you can see that my data resides on app2. Just modify your URL report url to use the same server id.

Correct credentials?

 If your server credentials are correct, then make sure your authentication information is correct. Double check your email address or username is exactly right. If your installation requires Account Codes, check that too. Or add it if you forgot it.
